About

Chevis English
Principal Blogger

Chevis English is a public relations professional in Dallas who has always had a passion for beauty products, healthy living and all things fashion. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications at the University of Arkansas and her Master’s degree in Business Administration at Dallas Baptist University. She currently works as account executive at Nunez PR Group and also does marketing for her father’s business, The English Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Center.

Chevis founded Face Doctorette in 2009 to talk about beauty, style and healthy living. One of her favorite things to do as a little girl was to go up to her dad’s office to make her own make-up and dip her hands in the paraffin wax. She could also be found outside of aerobic classes trying to mimic all of her mom’s moves beginning at age 4.

Her intentions for this blog are to talk about the things she loves, help others and get input and feedback from them in the process. She mainly writes about beauty, style and healthy living, but also discusses medical questions and procedures. With that being said, she is not promoting plastic surgery; she believes in being happy with your self, but also believes in having cosmetic procedures if it makes you feel more confident and happy.

Consider her an open book. She only posts her honest* opinion and looks to her dad for answers, advice, and knowledge about the medical field, as he is the go-to doctor for any questions or inquiries people may have.

In her spare time you will find her cooking, working out, shopping, traveling, reading, relaxing with friends or hanging out with her dog, Sophie.

She can be found on Twitter @chevis and @FaceDoctorette, Facebook and LinkedIn.

* Side note: Honesty is definitely one of her strongest characteristics.  Some say she is too honest at times, but she would rather say what she thinks than tell a lie even if it isn’t what someone wants to hear.

Dr. Jim English
Go-to Doctor

Dad pro shotJim English M.D. (My Daddy) is the surgical director and owner of the English Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery Center and Surgi-Spa in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He is board certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery as well as the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.  He has an immense dedication to helping men and women feel better about themselves physically and emotionally, and after being in practice for 25 years, he has been able to help numerous people achieve a self-confidence they never thought possible.

He operates on a daily basis under a saying he learned from one of his mentors; “Don’t give less than what you are capable of even if it costs you more than most are willing to pay.”  When I was younger, he taught me a similar rhyme he learned from his dad that I try to live by on a daily basis as well; “Good, better, best—never let it rest ‘til your good is better and your better best.”

He was behind me all the way when I decided to write this blog about beauty, fashion, and stay fit tips, and kindly offered to help when I asked if he would be my go-to doctor for inquiries and answers to medical questions.  With that being said, if you have any questions that you would like answered by a medical professional, then send them our way on the ask the dr. page of this blog and we will get back with you as soon as we can.  If you have any inquiries about my daddy’s practice you can visit his site at www.surgeoncosmetic.com.

Chevis, Check with Myra concerning the edits. The first draft looks very good. Your comment on honesty is a forgone conclusion. That's what makes me proud of you. Love, Dad.

I had anopen brow lift & chin implant, not sure if English is even the Dr who preformed it, he was not the Dr who saw me for follow-up. Implant was horribly askew and brow was lower than before but English blatantly refused to admit the outcome or to offer any way to right these botched attempts at surgery. We were told by English that he “should not have taken me as his client and he wished us the best of luck” then hung-up the phone. English fancies himself godlike and if anyone dares question his abilities he will become agressively defensive. After having the implant removed by another surgeon, English made a big deal about how perfect my chin looked now; he didn’t even have the skill to realize the implant was no longer there. After refusing to consider revising my forhead he tried to sell me eyelid surgery and botox. He is very much like a used-car-salesman, only far less moral. My brows are now pulled down and inward with wrinkles on the forhead. I am 31, thanks to English I look 51.

Hey Chira! Sorry it has taken me so long to respond but I wanted to ask my mom about you. She said that you are one of Rhonda's daughters and thought that you may be a cosmetologist. I am so glad you love the blog. It is always reassuring to hear that people like the content I am putting out there :-) I have never been to Nashville but I have a couple of friends that live there and they love it.

Thanks again for your kind words and it was good to hear from you. Message me if you are ever in Dallas!
