Sometimes when I am craving something sweet but don’t want something fattening, I make cinnamon toast. My mom used to make this for me when I was little with lots of butter, cinnamon and sugar; but now we have one of the best creations ever (even though I don’t have the slightest clue what is in it), I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Spray Butter. Just a slice of wheat bread (I prefer Earthgrains), a few sprays of the amazing tasting yellow water mentioned above, cinnamon and sugar, pop it in the toaster and Voilà!
Since it has been so cold in Dallas these past few months, my lips have come accustomed to being chapped. In an attempt to exfoliate my lips without having to go to the spa or buy another lip moisturizer, I glanced over at the little ramekin of cinnamon and sugar I keep by my coffee maker and wondered what would happen if I added a little olive oil to it and rubbed it on my extremely sad looking lips. Much to my surprise, my concoction worked wonders and tasted good too!
I kept applying it throughout the week before I went to bed and then would apply my Neosporin overnight renewal therapy. Before I knew it my lips were kissably smooth!
Do it yourself:
- 1 heaping tablespoon of granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
Mix the cinnamon and sugar before adding the olive oil and then mix everything together until it looks like a granulated paste.
