Get in the Glow

by FaceDoctorette on March 28, 2010

These days there are all sorts of treatments to help reverse the signs of aging and help with skin damage, but why damage your skin in the first place? I must admit I have been known to go to the tanning bed on occasion, but most of the time I either spray tan or use a tinted moisturizing lotion at home. There are numerous different tinted moisturizers on the market and my favorite one happens to be Dove’s Essential Nutrients Tinted Moisturizer. However, after searching Target, Walgreens, and Wal-Mart, I recently realized my favorite subtle fake bake was no longer for sale. Knowing that I couldn’t leave the store without some sort of skin darkening product (shorts season is now underway with swimsuits just around the corner), I decided to try Jergens Natural Glow. I have to say I was skeptical at first but I really enjoyed Jergens.

What makes me like Jergens even more is their new Get in the Glow campaign. Jergens has produced a video on YouTube featuring the hilarious Jane Krakowski, who admits that she used to “fry in the sun” but is done tanning “the old fashioned way.” For every view the video gets, Jergens Skincare will donate $1 to the Skin Care Foundation, whose mission is to decrease the incidence of skin cancer through public and professional education and research. Jergens has set a maximum donation of $20,000, which I am sure they will reach fairly quickly considering the campaign runs from March 19 – August 31, but maybe if the video gets an overwhelming number of views, then the company will up their donation!

You can watch the video below and don’t forget to follow Jane’s instructions to pass it on!
