Now I don’t know a whole lot about makeup but I do know enough to say what looks good and what looks bad. A few weeks ago at the Country Music Awards, Leann Rimes had a visit from the evil makeup fairy and unfortunately caught a lot of flack regarding her “raccoon eyes.” I tend to gravitate towards a more natural makeup look but even the smoky eye maven herself, Kim Kardashian, couldn’t pull Rimes’ look off.
It is crucial to know what makeup style works best with your look and for me, I almost ALWAYS stick to the natural look. I will occasionally do a smoky eye with Benefit’s Smokin’ Eyes, but half the time my friends can’t even tell a difference. The aesthetician at my dad’s office, Stefany Ashley, said that since she has worked there she has helped numerous women that visit the spa not knowing what makeup style suits them best. After watching the Carrie Underwood Christmas special last night, I will say that Ms. Rimes should take a makeup lesson from Carrie and scale back the darkness. Below I have put together a poll on whose makeup style you prefer. My favorite is definitely a tie between Charlize Theron and Carrie Underwood.
